Norie Kimchi Cleanser
Award-Winning Korean face cleanser for sensitive skin!
If you visit Norie’s website and check out their kimchi cleanser, this is how they describe it:
“Ultra-clean, super gentle, fragrance free, concentrated daily facial cleanser with probiotic L. Kimchii to help prevent and treat breakouts, bumps and textured skin.”
Long story short - this is an accurate description.
I first tried out Norie’s about a year ago when I was gifted it at the Korean American Story gala in Manhattan. KAS does a great job of highlighting Korean-American brands, artists, and members of their community. Susan Kim Tsui, the founder of Norie, had a long career in launching Korean beauty brands in the US already, but this time the brand was her own. I applaud a woman with a vision and the knowledge to make it come true.
One year later, I’m still a faithful believer in Norie’s promises.
The kimchi cleanser is the first of its kind (have YOU ever heard of using kimchi to wash your face??)
But it makes sense, in the right context. kimchi is already a superfood, thanks to its proboitic powers. Kimchi supports a healthy gut, and what you eat strongly impacts your skin. Good kimchi, good gut, good skin. Simple :)
The cleanser has only 13 essential ingredients, with the main actives being 2% Salicylic Acid (treats acne, clears pores), apple fruit extract and white radish fermented with L.Kimchii - a natural anti-microbial ingredient that fights acne. It reduces bacteria, yeast and mold. (read more up on it here)
I love a simple product that works.
Who is this for?
Acne-prone skin
Sensitive skin
People who want clearer skin without stripping it
Anybody. It’s a very friendly product and easy to introduce to your routine.
For myself, I absolutely noticed a subtle change in my skin. It’s cleared up, brightened, and feels smoother. You don’t need to feel a ‘squeaky-clean’ feeling after you wash your face. I like having a clean face without damaging the barrier.
