HALF KAZAKH / HALF KOREAN

“I think personally, I just try to appreciate both cultures. But the funny thing, is my Kazakh friends say "You’re Kazakh, you just look Korean" whenever I act like myself.
So, I try to keep this balance, but I think sometimes half of me is just stronger than the other. I don't know yet. But I'd like to encourage all halfies to be really proud of themselves, because it’s really hard, I can understand with all my heart and soul.
It’s hard sometimes. You’re really marginalized and you’re really standing on this border in between two different cultures and you have to be really strong enough, to be brave enough, to overcome that kind of inner difficulties..."
