Making a Beauty Commercial at Home - Korean Luxury Skincare (L’Adept)
Filmmaker husband x Model wife duos unite.
Cedric and I have been making videos together since we met. He had his first youtube channel Skycedi - which now exists as a memory one of the OG Korean content channels - and then he joined forces with me to elevate The Halfie Project youtube channel.
Has there ever been a more powerful duo than a self-taught filmmaker and his model girlfriend? The answer is obviously yes (Doc and Marty Mcfly, Bert and Ernie, Calvin and Hobbes…), but the artiste and his muse have been making beautiful visuals since time immemorial. We’re content to be a tiny blip on the arc of art history in modern times.
Here’s some screen grabs from our recent shoot we did for L’Adept - a shiny, new Korean brand that makes these little glass bottles of serums, each designed for a special purpose. Using them feels like doing science experiments for pretty girls ✨
Cedric has been studying light in film and utilizing his growing knowledge in our shoots. I think it’s extra apparent in this shoot. He was able to wrap the light around my face and give my skin this nice glow that suits a Korean beauty video perfectly. This was shot in our living room with natural lighting from the window, one APUTURE 300x, diffusion and a reflector.
L’Adept isn’t publicly available yet, but keep an eye on my personal instagram to see when they drop. In the meantime, enjoy some more screen grabs of Cedric making me look luminous ✨
